What’s the Endgame?
I had a conversation with a new member that went as follows:
Member: I just want to get to my goal weight then I’m going to quit.
Me: Ok, what’s your plan after that?
Member: Nothing. I’ll hit my goal.
Me: Right but are you going to do anything different to stay there?
Member: No. Why would I? I’ll be at my goal.
Me: Help me understand. You’re going to join here, change your eating habit, add in exercise, then when you hit your goal, you’re going to stop? All of it?
Member: I’ll probably keep some of the eating changes.
Me: I want you to succeed so I hope this comes across the way I intend it to, with care. In order to keep the changes you get you have to keep the habits. If you fall back to the habits that brought you to my doors, the results won’t stay.
How often have YOU been on this hamster wheel? Commitment until you hit the goal, then drop off the actions and habits that got you to the goal only to find yourself back at square one months later?
I get it. It’s isn’t as fun or comfortable to ALWAYS and FOREVER “eat clean” and hit the gym 3-5x a week for the rest of your life…but that’s what it takes to stay at that “goal” place.
But beyond the GOAL, that’s what it takes for health. To feel good on a consistent basis. To sleep well, have energy, balanced hormones, and mental clarity.
Trust me. I’ve been on this ride for almost 20 years and those seasons I stopped…I felt it. And…it was harder to get back on the ride.
As uncomfortable as it is, accept the changes that have to happen. Let us help you find that “reasonable” space between bodybuilding living (which is unreasonable) and standard american diet (which is unreasonable). <– to prove that point we have the highest quality and access to healthcare of all countries world wide but the sickest population and least strict food guidelines with the FDA.
Stats don’t lie. Lets do this. We can help you. We WANT to help you!
